It's time to roll up your sleeves and fight!

Ya'ta'hey!
One thing that I've learned this week is that Satan's power is soooo real! He seems to do all that he can to drag you down, but I also know that Heavenly Father is fighting harder for you! I know that Guardian angels are placed around us to give us strength! We are truly fighting a real unseen battle, and its time for all of us to roll up the sleeves and fight!

Sister Anderson and I were MTC companions and it's been incredible for us both to see the changes that have happened since the MTC! When I went to pick up Sister Anderson I got to see Sister Darlington! It was so exciting to see some one from Kalispell!

Sister Anderson and I have decided to walk A-TON! We find that it gives us unforeseen opportunities!
We've been working so hard this week, and we were able to get Kay Goodman on date for baptism for July 29th! Robert and Jerry are still going strong!

Sister Anderson has seriously been an answer to prayers! We are doing everything we can to help the ward become more missionary minded. Sister Anderson really seems to be what this ward needs right now! She's full of many ideas as to how to get that going!

I love you all soooooo much! Have a fabulous week!
Hagoonee!

Transfers! Sister Garner is going home and Sister Anderson is my new companion. I'm excited!

Ya'ta'hey!
The man with the beard is one of my favorite people on the PLANET! His name is Robert Vanegas and he is one of our returning members. I feel that he is one of the people that I was sent here for! He might look intimidating, but he's really just a big teddy bear!

My new Companion is Sister Anderson...yep the same one I was companions with in the Mission Training Center! I'm so excited for this transfer! It's going to be so great serving with her again!

This week was actually kinda slow, but really good! It was Sister Garner's last week, so there were definitely tears shed on both of our parts!

We saw Jason Morgan again this week and he's doing better with his prayers and scripture study it seems! We also saw Scott and his daughter and his daughter is sitting in when we meet with Scott so that's great!...New investigator!!!

We are now teaching a cute 10 year old named Jori. She's doing really well and on date for baptism for Aug.12th!
We got to see Robert as well! Which always makes my day and/or week!

We had dinner with Jerry and Marty (part member Family!) Saturday night and they made us some delicious Mexican soup! Sunday We got to have dinner with the Jorgensens for Fathers Day! We love their family!!!

I had a fever last night and am not feeling too well today hence the shorter email and probably less enthusiasm!
I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love you all!
Hagoonee!

Belief and Faith need to be Aligned in order for miracles to happen!

Ya'ta'hey!
This week has been pretty good!

We have a new investigator, although he knows all about the church...he was excommunicated so he technically is an investigator, but it's more like teaching a less-active.
On Tuesday we helped a member paint her house and it was lots of fun!

Wednesday we had Zone Conference and it was all about finding. We learned a lot about the difference between faith and belief too and how our Belief needs to be aligned with our faith so that miracles can happen!
For example I might have faith that my wrist can be healed the same way Christ would have healed it as he
was on the earth. I don't necessarily believe that it can happen for me or I believe that regardless of receiving
a blessing that it will still take time to heal. Why couldn't it be healed immediately the way that Christ healed
others? That same priesthood power is here on the earth today...It is because of unbelief. Our belief and faith
need to be aligned for miracles to happen.

We saw Tim, One of our investigators after that and had a really great lesson on the restoration with him! The spirit was pretty strong and he accepted a baptism date! He wants to shoot for April 15th of next year, but we have no doubt that it will get moved up as he begins to have a real conversion.

All of our people we are visiting are falling apart! One broke his leg the other day! Another is having kidney problems and another feels that he is worth nothing! It's sooooo sad!

Friday we saw Ken and it went pretty well, He hasn't come to church the last couple of weeks though :/

We saw Jason (a Less Active) on Saturday and he seems to be progressing!

Yesterday Jerry got a calling!!!! That was sooo exciting! Another proud missionary moment right there! And we got to see Robert again yesterday for a lesson! He is doing sooooo well!
It's been a great week! I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Combine post of last two weeks!

May 30, 2017
Ya'ta'hey!
Sorry for not being able to email you yesterday. The library was closed, as it was memorial day.
My week was pretty great!
We were able to put our new investigator Deva on date for Baptism. It will be July 15th! We also got 2 new investigators named Tim and Noah. Tim seems sooooooo ready for the gospel too! He wants to make changes in his life and become a better person! We were simply walking down the street and stopped to talk to them. We asked them if either of them would like to learn more about Jesus Christ and Tim raised his hand so we sat down with them and shared the introduction to the Book of Mormon and bore our testimonies. He's been texting us a lot since then with questions and concerns, and we can't help but fall in love with the man! (oh and He is 6 foot 7!!!)
Jerry and Brother Venegas and his son all came to church on Sunday!!! That's the first time Brother Venegas's son has come!
We were also able to see Kay and talk about the Plan of Salvation. We are hoping to put her on date soon!

Ya'ta'hey!
This week was pretty good and flew by as usual! Jerry came to church once again this week, but he also taught gospel Principles!!! He did such a good job too! Brother Venegas also came for the 4th time in a row and stayed all 3 hours this time! He also got a calling and got up to bare his testimony!!!! Kay our investigator came to church too and almost every single testimony mentioned something that she needed to hear!

We did tons of service this week and even helped someone plant their garden which was fun! For One of Brother Venegas's lesson's this week we made cookies and talked about service. His commitment was to deliver the cookies to people as an act of service.

We met a new less-active this week named Jason Morgan and he seems like a really neat guy! He works on computers a lot.

This week we were tight for miles and so we decided to ride bikes where we could and it was a lot of fun! Kind of interesting in a skirt though, haha!

I love you all have a fabulous week!

I seriously just Love the Sabbath!

Ya' ta' hey!
This week was great!!! I seriously am growing to love Cortez soooooooo much! We had exchanges this week and I got to take over the area a couple times because of it!

Monday we had dinner with the Brown's and they let us feed their chickens after and it reminded me of old times :)

Tuesday we had exchanges and our Sister Trainer Leader (Sister Millard) came to Cortez for the day while my companion went to Kirtland (New Mexico). We had a good exchange with an appointment every single hour!!! We saw one of my favorite people...Doris! She prayed in front of us again!!! We also saw Rhonda (a less-active). We watched "The Healing Ointment of Forgiveness" with her! The lesson went really well and I truly felt Heavenly Father's love for her!

Wednesday we were back in our normal companionship and got to go to community connections as we always do on Wednesdays! We also saw Robert Venegas and he ended up coming to church on Sunday!!! We saw Jerry and Marty that night too and Marty (his non-member wife) participated a-lot in the lesson!!! Like more than usual!...and we were reading out of the Book of Mormon with them!

Thursday we had a fabulous district meeting. The spirit was very strong! We also found a new investigator named Deva! She is about 13 or 14 and soooooo prepared! She wants to draw closer to Christ and loved the "Prince of Peace" video that we shared with her! We also saw the Bells (a Less Active family) later that evening.

Friday we had weekly planning and then exchanges after. We didn't end up seeing anyone that day for lessons but we still had some good work done.

Saturday all of our lessons fell through as I took over the Area for the day, but we got to meet some pretty great people because of it! The weather was beautiful too so we did a lot of walking! We saw Ken that night for a brief lesson then met with the Elders at the Senior couple's house so that we could plan how we were going to teach mission prep the next day (because they have us tag team it).

Sunday was a fabulous day!!! I seriously just LOVE the Sabbath! I felt so filled with the spirit after church! We have some pretty elect youth that gave talks yesterday! We saw Brother Venegas after church along with a recent convert (Catrina) who's been going through a little bit of a rough time. We then taught mission preparation that night.

I got a hair cut today, well more like a trim and my layers re-done, but I love it! It's been a wonderful day so far and I hope that y'all are having a wonderful time too!

I love you all have a wonderful week!

Ya' ta' hey!

The best way to live life is living and sharing the gospel, while having fun and laughing lots! That's one thing I am incredibly grateful for with my mission, is that I've learned how to better just be myself with everyone and how to be serious at times but also how to and when to have fun! Heavenly Father knew that I needed my mission not just for others but also for me!

Tuesday we saw Rhonda (a Less Active) and she told us a lot more information about her past, and Wow...I never realized how much that poor woman had been through! I feel like we can really help her progress more now though, because we can really tailor the lessons to her specific needs! We also saw Shay and Sienna (some recent converts) that night and they are still doing fantastic!

Wednesday we started doing "My Plan" for Sister Garner (our mission is a pilot mission for it. Basically it is a program to help missionaries who are in their last transfer to set goals and make plans to help them continue growing when they get home.) We also went to Community Connections and sang, which is always a highlight of my week! We saw Robert Venagas (a less active) and talked about the Plan of Salvation with him. It went really well and the spirit was really strong! We invited him to come to church and he was hesitant at first but he finally decided that he would come! And he came!!! (only for sacrament meeting, but it's a step!!!) We also saw Jerry that night and read Pres. Monson's most recent talk about the Book of Mormon and talked about how important it is to read every single day!

Thursday we had district meeting and also did family history work! We got a new investigator named Kay and she seems to have  A-LOT of potential! She came to church yesterday too! (She got the times mixed up and went to the wrong ward, but she came regardless!). We also got to go to institute that night and it was really, really good!

Friday we helped clean a less-active members house that they just moved into and it was actually a lot of fun!

Saturday we had a lot of fun heart-attacking people's doors who we feel have made a difference in our life and in a way are like a mother to us! We heart-attacked our new investigators door too and she said that she'd been throwing herself a pity-party and that it made her day when she saw it! I told you over skype what happened with Maty! haha....oh no!!! We got caught!!! After the adventures with trying to heart-attack the senior couple's door, we went to the Chavez's for dinner.

Sunday we had church of course and the talks that were given were wonderful and whether you're a mom or not they made you feel good about simply being a woman. We saw Robert Venegas again for a lesson yesterday and it went really well!
After Skyping with you wonderful people, we had dinner with the Cooks and saw Doris after that! Doris is sooo cute! I love her!
I hope you all have a fabulous week! Remember you're purpose here, and who you truly are! We all often forget that!
I love you!

I love seeing the Gospel touch peoples lives!

Ya' te' hey!
We got transfer news and Sister Garner and I are both staying! :) So it looks like I'll be sending her home at the end of the transfer!

This week was great! To be honest it's all a blur!
On Monday, as a district we went to Hovenweep for a hike. It was lots of fun! I'll send physical pictures hopefully sometime soon, since these computers can't send them.

Tuesday, we saw Jerry and talked about family history with him and his wife Marty! They are seriously sooooo cute! We also saw Catrina (a recent convert) that night with the RS president.

Wednesday we had a wonderful Zone Conference all focusing on how we can become more like the savior! It was soooooo good and I ended up being called on to give a short 5 minute talk on humility. After Zone Conference we did some walking since the weather was beautiful! We met some good potentials! We also had dinner with the Bells (a returning less-active family) that night and Payton Bell (the cutest 14 year old you will ever meet!) said that he loves passing the sacrament!!! :)

We went to mutual with the youth that night as well and talked with Payton while the others played kick-ball. (Payton can't do a lot of physical activity because of some medical issues...so he sat on the side). Parker unofficial girlfriend who is a non-member also joined us and we got talking to her for a while. She's not interested in taking the lessons right now but it seems like she has a lot of potential and one day will end up taking the lessons. She said she would like to come to church with them when Payton invited her!

Thursday we had interviews with President Adams. We also did some family history with Jerry! He was so excited about it all! We also saw Doris that night. She's still doing well, but it's definitely a challenge with her Alzheimer's!

Friday we had so many appointments that we had to do our weekly planning on Saturday instead! We saw Nichelle and talked about the law of chastity with her and her boyfriend. They said they'd have to talk about what they are going to do to live it.

We also saw Tanner (a recent convert) and he is doing soooo well! He and his wife Andi plan on going to the temple together for baptisms by the end of the month! (It will be his first time!)

Saturday we also got permission to go to a little bit (like 30-45 mins.) of the McCoy's baseball game to show our support for them (they are an investigator family)! It was fun and apparently Austin won both of his games!
We had dinner with the Chavez family that night as well and I seriously just love them! They make THE BEST enchiladas too!

Sunday we had a wonderful fast and testimony meeting! The spirit was very strong, and the Bishop gave a blessing on the ward! Jerry came to church too and he felt the spirit so much that he couldn't hold back his tears! We also had a lesson with him after church and talked about temples and read the talk "See yourself in the Temple" with him.
I love seeing how the gospel touches other's lives! I know that Jerry will make it to the temple again very soon! :)

I love you all have a great week!
